- I'm Theseus, the duke of Athens. I am the great conqueror!

- On his homecoming, he witnessed four ladies crying outside his town.He asked them why they are weeping.
- The eldest woman introduced herself as the wife of King Capaneus. She asked for the duke's mercy.
- I swear to take vengeance for your ate husbands and late kingdom.
- He fulfilled what he promised. He went to Thebes and kill Creon. Theseus also brought back the bones of the knights of the late kingdom to their wives.
- When he's o his way home, he saw a two dying soldiers of Thebes. Instead of killing them, he healed them but imprisoned them in the tower. The soldiers name are Palamon and Arcite.
- I will not kill you soldiers of Thebes. You will suffer a life imprisonment instead.
- Have mercy on us King Theseus!
- She's indeed a beautiful lady. I want her to be my wife.

- One spring morning, Palamon saw Emilia, a fair-lady and the sister-in-law of Theseus, in just a blink of an eye, he fell in love with her. And when Arcita saw her too, he fell in love with the lady too.
