- Odysseus and his men arrive to the land of the cyclopes
- Line 157 "We climbed, then, briskly to the cave. "
- Odysseus and his men find the cyclopes cave and enter.
- Line 159 "...so we looked round at everything inside:a drying rack that sagged with cheeses, pens crowded with lambs and kids."
- Odysseus and hi men go inside the cave and see the food that the cyclops has left for later.
