The dog can be seen as an extension of nature itself, due to its ancestry with wolves, acknowledgment of nature’s power, and relationship with the man. The bond between the man and dog is rudimentary, with the dog being described as a slave to the man. This diction reveals the perceived superiority of man to nature, when in reality the concept of control over another being is preposterous
