- Hi! I'm Rane the raindrop and now I'll tell you my story about water cycle.
- Evaporation
- Mr. Sun, what is happening to me?
- You're evaporating. Now that you're warm, later when you're already cool, you will turn to a water vapor to liquid.
- Condensation
- Mr. Sun, why am I so high now?
- Now you're condensing. You're turning to liquid to water vapor and now you are a cloud that's why you're here.
- Water cycle is a cycle of processes by which water circulates between the earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land, involving precipitation as rain and snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and return to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration.
- Precipitation
- Evaporation occurs when sunlight warms the surface of the water. When it cools enough, the water vapor condenses and returns to liquid. These droplets gather to form clouds and precipitation. Evaporation from the oceans is vital to the production of fresh water.
- Transpiration
- Yes, you're right!
- Condensation is the process by which water vapor in the air is changed into liquid water. These clouds may produce precipitation, which is the primary route for water to return to the Earth's surface within the water cycle. Condensation is different from evaporation.
- Storage
- Precipitation is water released from clouds in the form of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, or hail. It is the primary connection in the water cycle that provides for the delivery of atmospheric water to the Earth. Most precipitation falls as rain.

- Transpiration is the evaporation of water through minute pores, or stomata, in the leaves of plants. Transpiration and the evaporation from all water, soils, snow, ice, vegetation, and other surfaces are lumped together and called evapotranspiration, or total evaporation.
- Now I will be evaporated by plants. Am I right Mr. Sun?
- Storage is the large amounts of water are stored in the ground. The water is still moving, possibly very slowly, and it is still part of the water cycle. Most of the water in the ground comes from precipitation that infiltrates downward from the land surface.
- Mr. Sun, am I already stored underground?
- Yes! And that is called storage.
