- It's a bright sunny morning, and I am together with my parents in the port station waiting for our schedule time to ride the boat.
- Yehey, I'm so excited to go to Iloilo City and meet our relatives there mom.
- Auntie, why I only see a few tricycles that passes here?
- Oh I see, because back there in our home Auntie, we have an easy access on vehicles and we often use tricycles as a mode of transportation when we went to the market and other places within the vicinity of the City.
- The next morning, me and my Aunt are waiting for almost 15 minutes for a vehicle to arrive in order to go to the market.
- Oh Dear, we only use pedicab here as a vehicle to go to the market and other nearby places.
- Yes of course Auntie. I'm excited as well to explore the place in the next days.
- Great! I'll bring you together with me tomorrow to the market to buy some things.
- Hello Dear, how's your travel coming here? Did you enjoy?
- After I talked with my Aunt, I ask my Mom about the tone of the how they speak their language here in Iloilo City because I was astonished by it.
- Yes sweetie, they speak like that. You'll get to used with it as we stay here for several days.
- Mom, is that really the tone of how they speak their language here? Because as I was talking with Auntie earlier she has a sweet Ilonggo accent, unlike us.
- Dear, these foods are good for our one week consumption.
- At the market.
- Auntie, why did you buy so many foods?
- Oh okay, I'm sorry Aunt. I'm not used to it since back in our hometown my father usually went to the market everyday to buy foods for our consumption.
- At the backyard, I saw my Auntie harvesting various kinds of the vegetables.
- Oh okay, Auntie. This is how life is here in your place, you grow your own vegetables and you are able as well to prepare your meals and have total control over the quality of the ingredients while spending less money on food. That's a great thing to do, Auntie. I would like to apply this to our place too as we get home. Thank you.
- Hi Auntie, I notice that you have gathered so many vegetables. Are you going to sell them?
- No dear, I am not selling them. In fact, this will be used for our cooking in the next few days.
