- The Unusual Birth/Being is when The Hero is introduced to the story. They usually are born or brought into some kind of magical or dangerous circumstance.( Above is me being born 8 weeks prematurely )
- Journey/Test
- This step is when The Hero leaves his family or home by a push or pull factor. This marks the beginning of their journey.( Above is me leaving home after high school to go to college for a degree in engineering )
- Supernatural Helper
- The Special Weapon is the weapon or tool only The Hero has. Normally is a magical power, or could be intelligence, skill, or their personality.( Above is me making good grades in my college classes, displaying my weapon of intelligence {someday i hope haha} )
- Unhealable Wound
- FIRED!!
- The Hero's Journey is the test they must endure, or the threshold they must cross in order to achieve victory. Usually is one large task and makes the character visit a 'dark side' of themselves.( My journey is to graduate from college and find a local engineering job to start work at, but to get there and pass my classes would be extremely challenging )
- The Supernatural Helper is the magical helper or mentor to The Hero during a story. They aid or guide The Hero through their journey.EX: Gandalf, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tony Stark (in the new Spider-Man films)( My supernatural helper or mentor would probably be my dad, checking in on me during college or work days to make sure i was okay and if i needed anything )
- The Unhealable Wound is the physical or psychological wound inflicted to The Hero that they never recover or ultimately change from. Drives The Hero to desperate measures and can indicate a loss of The Hero's innocence.( My unhealable wound may be me getting laid off work due to the 57th variation of covid-19 causing another global pandemic )
