I furthered my education at the university of Vienna.
As a part of my monestarial duties, I taught high school students about science.
I wondered about the patterns of inheritance so I got started on a decade long investigation.
I hypothesized that traits are passed down from parent to offspring.
I decided to experiment this idea with pea plants and their breeding
My results were that a true-breeding yellow pea and a true-breeding green pea were cross-bred their offspring always produced yellow seeds. However, in the next generation, the green peas reappeared at a ratio of 1 green to 3 yellow.
Parents pass down 1 gene each and the offspring's traits act independently!
