- The Cheating
- Oh Lord, I'm so sorry....
- I had no choice! The quiz was sudden. But my teacher did not find out so, it's fine....right?
- I'm scared! What if Ate found out that I cheated my exam earlier?
- Anxious Avery
- Hey Avery! Is there a problem?
- Of course I had! Mom got mad when she found out, but then, I told to her that I will not do it again and it will serve as my lesson.
- Nothing Ate, I just wanna ask you, have you ever cheated on your exams or quizzes?
- The Bible Verse: James 4:17
- No Avery, some people may had said the same thing you just did but, I turned myself in.
- You're probably wondering why, but Avery, remember Mom's fav Bible verse, James 4:17? That's why.
- How did Mom found out about it? Your teacher caught you?
- Why would she turn herself in, it's dangerous!
- In her bedroom, Avery began to remember the quiz that she had cheated on earlier, the quiz was sudden and the given time for review was not enough, she had no choice but to make a "kodigo" to use during the quiz. Although she knew it was wrong, she comforted herself by thinking it was alright as long as she is not caught doing it.
- Rightful and Just
- "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it.....
- I wonder where Ate got her braveness from? She turned herself in knowing that she will have to face consequences.
- As Avery got out of her bedroom, she went to see her Ate sitting in the living room who stood as her guardian ever since their parents passed away. Gathering her thoughts, she stood next to her and began asking questions she had in her mind. With her Ate's answer, rather than making her feel better, she grew more anxious about the situation.
- The Decision
- Yes Ma'am. I'm here to turn myself in for cheating on the quiz you gave us the other day. I made a kodigo and used it the whole time. My Ate still have no idea about this Ma'am. I'm really sorry
- Avery, is there a problem child? Do you want to say anything?
- Avery, you know you have to face consequences right? I'll need to dismiss the score that was given to you before.
- The conversation with her Ate went on until the Bible verse James 4:17, "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is a sin.", their Mom's favorite verse had been mentioned. The conversation played through her mind over and over again.
- Pray
- Thank you Lord for giving me my sister and using her to open my mind. Thank you the wisdom and strength you have given me during the conversation with my teacher earlier.
- Lord, first of all, I apologize for doing such things, there are no justifiable reasons for I know I have commited a sin. Please forgive me, oh Lord.
- Exhausted of overthinking, Avery made up her mind. She knew what she did was wrong as the conversation earlier with her sister opened her mind, and she's going to do the same thing her sister did tomorrow. Turning herself in would be the best decision she could ever make during the situations she's experiencing right now.
- I knew what what I did was wrong, but, I'm afraid of the consequences, however, I must make a decision that I know will be rightful and just in the eyes of the Lord. It's now or never.
- Gathering hope and bravery, she went into the faculty right after stepping inside the school and decided to turn herself in. She told everything including her guardian having no idea about it, she apologized and gratefully accepted the punishment gave to her.
- Yes Ma'am, I'll accept the p-punishment, thank you for your time today.
- By the time she came home, she went to her room and prayed earnestly. She had asked forgiveness for committing a sin, she also asked for guidance from God as she confessed to her guardian everything that had happened.
- I ask you now Lord to help me gather my thoughts as I confess to my sister for what I did. I trust in you my Lord, I know that you are a loving, and faithful God.
