- At 9 in the morning a landowner goes out to look for workers
- Anyone want to come shovel my enormous backyard? I will pay 100 dollars for the days work to each individual
- We want to! We want to! We want to!
- As the group started working, the owner went to look for more people to work for him
- Does anyone want to come shovel my enormous backyard? I will pay what is right for the days work to each individual
- We will do it
- As the day goes on, the landowner gets more people to help him shovel snow
- At the end of the day, the landowner pays everyone 100 dollars. When it comes to the group that was first hired, they complain
- Its not fair though. We did 12 hours of labour while the others did less than us. Why do they still get paid 100 dollars? We should be paid more or they should be paid less
- To this, the landowner replies
- Im not being unfair. You agreed to work for 100 dollars. Take your pay and go. It is my choice to pay everyone equally. It is my money and I have the right to spend it how I please. Or are you envious because I am generous?
- Faith works like this. Does not matter if you pray your whole life, or just at he end of it, you will be rewarded equally with Gods kingdom
