- The teacher will place the learners in their groups, This is when the teacher will prepare them to play so that they can be; able participate in the play activity
- I am placing you into your groups to play
- The teacher will explain the instructions as follows : Learners we are going to play red light game. In this game; I will act as a traffic cop and you learners will be pedestrians . She will tell the learners that they will stand against the wall; that will be the starting line and she will stand a distance across the classroom that will the finish line. She will tell the learners that if she holds up go sign and yells 'green light' they should walk towards her and if; she holds up the stop sign and yells 'red light'; they should freeze and if she catches anyone moving while she said 'red light' the whole group will go back to the starting line. This game will end if one member from the group; gets to the finish line.
- Wow I can't wait to run around! Are you ready ?
- I am going to explain the play activity to you;
- it's going to be fun we will enjoy
- The teacher will make the learners stand against the wall and she will stand a distance across the classroom . And she will ask the learners to tell her; what she said the rules of this game will be .She will also asks the learners what the 'red light ' means and 'green light' means.
- Are you guys ready to play ?
- The teacher yells; 'green light' the learners are walking towards her
- 'green light'
- The teacher yells 'red light' learners now have to freeze and stop walking towards her. One learner from the other group continues to walk while the teacher said 'red light' then all the group members;have to go back to the starting line;
- 'red light'
- The teacher says 'green light' then the learners run towards; her. then one member ;from the group tags her then the game ends .
