- Russian Revolution- The petit bourgeoisie was a social class between the middle class and lower class. They fled Russia a few years after the Russian Revolution. Their objective was the reform of capitalism.
- Animal Farm-Mollie is a horse that craves human attention. Once the animals became in charge, she soon missed the ribbons in her hair and the sugar. She decides to leave animal farm back to the humans because of the attention she craved.

- “those ribbons that you are so devoted to are the badge of slavery. Can you not understand that liberty is worth more than ribbons?”
- “Mollie disappeared. For some weeks nothing was known of her whereabouts, then the pigeons reported that they had seen her on the other side of Willingdon. A fat red-faced man in check breeches and gaiters, who looked like a publican, was stroking her nose and feeding her with sugar. Her coat was newly clipped, and she wore a scarlet ribbon round her forelock. She appeared to be enjoying herself.” pg. 46
