Storyboard Tekst

  • Fear of the Project
  • I have a huge science project due in eight days and I don't know how I am doing to get it all done in time and if I will receive a decent grade.
  • Helpful Advise
  • There is no way I will be able to get the project done in eight days, that is not enough time for everything you want us to do!
  • Jacobi I can ensure you that eight days is more than enough time for this project. You can take an hour everyday outside of school to work on it,I will provide 30 minutes every class to work on it.
  • Jacobi's Fixed Mindset
  • She just doesn't want me to be successful on this project. And I will NOT take an hour of my own time to work on this project.
  • You need to take her advise. I am almost done with the project and if you really focus on it you will get it done too. She is doing her best with providing us with extra time in class.
  • She does want you to be successful! When you go home, just try to take her advise and see how it goes.
  • Jacobi just found out he has a huge science project, which includes a six page lab report, a visual aid and a three minute presentation, that is due in eight days. He does not think he will be able to get it all done by the due date and still receive a good grade.
  • Advise in Progress
  • Wow I got so much work done in just an hour!
  • Jacobi informs his teacher, Miss. Barnett that eight days is not enough time for him to do the project. Miss. Barnett provides him with some helpful advise that will ensure him that the project will be complete in time.
  • Finished Project
  • Wow you look very happy today, Jacobi. Did something exciting happen?
  • After class Jacobi met up with some friends in the hallway and they started talking about the project. He tells them how Miss. Barnett told him to take an hour everyday to work on the project and that she said she will give them 30 minutes in class everyday to work on it. He tells his friends there is no way he is taking an hour out of his time to work on this project.
  • Jacobi's Growth Mindset
  • Jacobi decided that he was going to listen to Miss. Barnett and his friends. After school he went home and spend an hour on the computer working on his project. He was surprised with how much he had got done in such a short period of time.
  • A couples days later, Jacobi comes to class super happy because he finished the project. He apologized for his behavior towards Miss. Barnett about the project and attempted that he wouldn't be done with the project if to wasn't for her advise.
  • Yes Miss. Barnett, I finished the whole project! I couldn't have done it without you advise thank you so much! I apologize for how I acted towards you the other day.
  • Jacobi went home that day and reflected on project. Now he knows that nothing is impossible when he shows effort, practices, and tries! He also knows that he can not make excuses.
  • I did it! I am so glad I stopped being stubborn and listened to Miss. Barnett. I know she had good intentions for this project and just wanted to see me be successful. I now know that as long as I try, practice, and show effort I can accomplish anything!
