- Being blind, John sees the world quite differently than others. He was often told that everyone is different make up of different races. But this is not a problem for John because the people around him will make sure he is never blind to love. John recalls his friends through his drawings.

- Through his drawings, John introduces his friend Azman, a Malay boy and football fan, and shows John himself can be a football star. Azman makes John confident in his abilities.

- Through John's second painting, John introduces Chandran an Indian boy. He loves to joke and has taught John the laugh and always said that life should not be taken too seriously.
- Through John's third painting, John introduces Ah Meng the Chinese boy. He is a sci-fi junkie who has shown John about the countless planets and galaxies in the world.
- Through John's fourth drawing, John introduces Juvita the only girl in the group who had always been concerned about John in her own way.
