- Today we will be testing 4 phase changes.

- Ms.Denis-First we are going to start from a melting point. Melting point is a solid to a liquid. This is when particles speed up ( ^ KE) move further apart (^ PE) as thermal energy is added. The melting point of ice is 32 degrees F.
- Ms.Denis-Next is Freezing , Bahodir why don't you explain it.Bahodir-Okay, Freezing is a liquid to a solid. Particles slow down (down KE) Move closer together (down PE) as thermal energy is removed. Freezing point is the same as melting point
- Ms.Denis-Next is Boiling, Azmiddin why don't you take this one.Azmiddin- Boiling is a liquid to a gas or also known as vaporization. The particles speed up (^ KE) move farther apart (^ PE) as thermal energy is added. The boiling point for water is 212 degrees F)
- Ms.Denis- Next is Deposition, and Kamron can you explain this one for me.Kamron- Sure! Deposition is a gas to a solid. Particles rapidly slow down (Down KE) move closer together (Down PE) as thermal energy is removed. An example is frost or snow.
