- Barnardo, Marcellus and Horatio encounter the ghost while guarding the front of the castle that night and Horatio is trying to speak with the ghost.
- I’ll stand guard with you tonight. Maybe it’ll come again.
- It was just like in real life, dark brown with silver whiskers in it.
- Claudius talks about how his brother died and because of this death he has married his wife and Hamlet gets mad how easily his mother forgot about his father, Hamlet also gets mad at his mother for not mourning long enough for his dead father.
- Spend all you can afford on clothes, but make sure they’re quality, not flashy, since clothes make the man
- I humbly say good-bye to you, father.
- Horatio tells Hamlet that he saw a ghost that very much looks like his dead father, he tells Hamlet because the ghost probably wants to talk to him.
- Don’t mistake that for true love. From now on, spend a little less time with him and talk to him less.
- I’ll do as you say, father.
- Hamlet tells Barnardo, Marcellus and Horatio that he will stand guard with them, to see if they will encounter the ghost again
- Laertes wishes Polonius and Ophelia goodbye because he is leaving back to France his father Polonius tells his son Laertes some advice before leaving.
- Polonius talks to Ophelia about what Laertes told her about Hamlet, then Polonius tells Ophelia to not fall for him because she is no one.
