- The Schleswig-Holstein war was fought in 1864. Austria and Prussia fought Denmark, for a couple reasons. But mainly because according to the Germans they were opressing small communties of ethinc Germans. The result of this was the Germans winning the war. Schleswig and Holstein were then controlled by Prussia and Austria. This was one of the many wars that led to the unifcation of Germany.
- We represent Denmark.
- We are here on the behalf of Austria and Prussia. We are here to liberate our people because you are opressing them
- Look at all these materials! The coal, and soon the iron.
- In the 1850s, Prussia expeirenced something that would change everything. It started industrializating at a rapid pace. Austria, who was the most powerful, fell behind. Due to industrialization, the economy grew for Prussia. This was because of their rail network. During this Austria was spending their money on wars and wasn't able to keep up. This gave Prussia the upper hand from this point on.
- The Franco-Prussian War, was the last war. It was fought between Prussia and France, this was the final factor that led to the unification of Germany. Prussia had won the war that was intentionally set up by Bismarck. This left France sour at the end of this and led to conflict in the future.
