- Jesus heard that his friend Lazarus was ill but waited 2 days to go see him. He waited to tell his disciples and go to see Lazarus.
- Martha went and called her sister Mary saying, “The teacher is here and is calling for you.”
- Lazarus has died.

- Jesus told his disciples of Lazarus’ passing. He told them that he was glad he was not there, so that they may believe. So He and His disciples set off to Bethany.
