- The conflict of the story is between the man and the old man and how the you g man hates the old man and even though he really don't know why he does we think that it must be bad enough to drive someone to kill someone.

- In this scene it shows the foreshadowing because it tells us how he hates the old man and he is in his room watching him as if hes stalking and ready to destroy his prey /victim

- The scene being shown here is a good example of imagery " " die, die" The old man gave a loud cry of fear as i fell upon him and held the bed covers tightly over his head. still his heart was beating but i smiled as i felt that success was near"
