- The Council of Jerusalem is known as the first Church council. Since then the Church has held 21 worldwide, or ecumenical, counsels.
- Then, Peter spoke again...
- Aapostle Paul is in the purple robe and his companion St. Barnabas is in the maroon robe.
- Paul and Barnabas telling all about the signs and wonders of God...
- Paul...Here are the signs...
- Barnabas...And here are the wonders.
- Peter rose up and said 'Brethren, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentile nations should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
- The final decision...

- Peter also said, He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith”God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.
- After Peter spoke, the congregation kept silence, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting the signs and wonders that God had done by them among the Gentile nations.
- Then everyone decided that Gentile Christians had to believe in Jesus and be baptized and they did not have to follow all Jewish laws.
