- The field of ripe corn dotted with the flowers that always promised a good harvest. The only thing the earth needed was a downpour .
- Lencho who knew his field intimately had done nothing else but see the sky towards the north-east.
- Now we are going to get some water , woman.
- The older boys were working in the field ,while the smaller ones were playing near the until the woman call them for dinner.
- Yes , God willing.
- As Lencho predicted , it starts to rain , he exclaimed " These are not raindrops falling from the sky , they are new coins. The big drops are ten cent pieces and the little ones are fives.
- Lencho opened the envelope and started reading. He became angry when he counted the money.
- God could not make a mistake.
- On the public writing table he started to write another letter. After writing the letter. he dropped it into the mailbox.
- It said :"God : Of the money that I asked for , only 70 pesos reached me . Send me the remaining amount since I need it very much . But don't send it to me trough the mail because the post office employees are bunch of crooks."
- The moment the letter full into the mailbox the postmaster,went to open it.
