- Addiction is something we all have it can be a serious problem or not at all bad.
- Research Question
- One of my main concerns are can you get rid of addiction and what are some addictions?
- Article 1
- At the same time that not all drug use is addictive, addiction does not have to involve drugs. People can become addicted to powerful experiences such as love, gambling, shopping, food—indeed, any experience that can absorb their feelings and consciousness.

- Despite ongoing government efforts, drug abuse and misuse remain common in the United States. The most commonly abused drug is marijuana. Opioids, including synthetic narcotics, prescription painkillers, and heroin, are responsible for the majority of fatal drug overdoses.”

Brief interventions often involve motivational interviewing techniques and substance-related education; the exact approach may differ depending on the target population.
