Each child had to hide a doll so that the policeman doll could not see him. Policeman doll was placed in various spaces and the child was asked to hide the doll each time. This ensured they understood the task

Another policeman doll was placed on the model and the child was asked to hide the boy doll so that neither policeman doll could see him. This was repeated 3 time.
Results - 90 of children aged between 3.5 - 5 year olds were able to hide the boy doll from the two policeman dolls.
Conclusion - Children ages between 3.5 - 5 year olds can see things from someone else's POV if the situation is familiar to them, and the task makes sense. This is different to Piaget's findings that children were egocentric until 7 years of age.
