- You need to only walk as far as those bushes. Can you do that, Salva Mawien Dut Ariik?
- I am happy to meet you, Nya. My name is Salva.
- What is your name?
- Thank you for bringing the water.
- I am Nya.
- Salva's group leaves him behind, so when he sees a lady on her porch he goes up to her. He stays with her for a little, but she has to leave. Salva becomes unsure of where he should go and what he shall do.
- Salva and his new group are making their way through the Akobo desert. Along the way, Salva stubbed his toe very badly, and he was in so much pain. His Uncle helped give him motivation and in the end this really helped him. He realizes that he can do it if he does it day by day.
- Salva is in a Nuer village helping them build a well, so they can have fresh water. Nya is curious why someone from the Dinka tribe is helping them, but no matter what she is thankful. She decides that she will thank him. Salva is helping his home country despite his history with the Nuer, but still he has to get through that day by day.
