- While looking at the stars, Montag imagined finding a barn similar to one he visited when he was a kid. He imagined seeing Clarisse in the farm house near by.
- Montag dearly misses Clarisse and we can read the impact she had on Montag. While walking down the Train tracks, he think , "Once, long ago, Clarisse had walked here, where he was walking now." (Bradbury, Ray. F451, pg.138)
- While in the river, Montag pondered on the nighttime sky which he has never seen before so clearly.

- Although the situation seems to have calmed down, Montag still gets scared when he sees an unfamiliar shape and recognizes it as The Hound, even it's just a deer
- Thanks to a radio of group, Montag found himself free since the police faked the rest of the search capturing a inocente person. Their plan is to keep the knowledge they need "intact and safe."(Bradbury, Ray. F451, pg.138) To wait for the war to end and help the world when they need them.
- After finding the fugitives that Faber told him about, Montag found himself with a new purpose.
