- Abu Bakr or Abdullah ibn Abu Quhafa (Arabic: عَبْدُ ٱللهِ بْنُ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ )is also known as Al-Siddiq “The Truthful Caliph”. He was born on 7 October 573 in Mecca, Hijaz, Arabia. He died on 23rd of August 634 at the age of 60 in Medina, Hijaz Arabia, Rashidun Empire because of an illness.
- His Father is Uthman and given the laqab Abu Quhafa, while his Mother is named Salma bint Sakhar who was given the laqab of Umm ul-Khair.
- He had 4 Wives, he gave divorce to one of them because she Qutaylah bint Abd-al-Uzza) did not accept Islam
- Children: 6 children (3 boys and 3 girls) Ayesha Bint Abu Bakr (3rd and youngest wife of Muhammad (PBUH)Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr, Asma Bint Abi Bakr, Umm Kulthum Bint Abi Bakr, Abdul Rahman Bint Abu Bakr, Abdullah Ibn Abih Bakr
- He was the neighbor of Muhammad (PBUH). Muhammad (PBUH) give him the titles of ‘Siddiq’ and ‘Atiq’. He was the first person appointed as “Amirul Hajj” by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He has the honor to be buried next to Muhammad Prophet (PBUH). One of the first to convert to Islam.
