  • Hi , will be explaining cellular respiration to you. The first step to cellular respiration is glycolysis. Your probably wonder what glycolysis is ... glcolysis is one of the three steps to cellular respriation.
  • Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm. In this process two ATP molecules along with two phosphate groups to a glucose molecule.
  • Which breaks down into 3-carbon PGAL molecules. Then the excited electrons then transferred to NAD+. Then reactions convent the 3-carbon molecules to pyruvate.
  • Glycolysis
  • The Kreb's Cycle is a series of chemical recations used by all aerobic organisms.
  • The five carbon molecules are broken down by an enzyme. Four carbon mocule of NADH, and a molecule is formed. The NADH leaves the Kreb's Cycle. High energy electrons are released and molecules of NADH and FADH2 are made.
  • The Krebs Cycle starts with a pryvate broken down from glycolysis. Which is now given off as waste as well as carbon dioxide. ThCo enzymes are to carbon molecules made froma pryvate breakdown. Then Citric acid is formed.
  • Kreb's Cycle
  • Then the hydrogen ions diffuse through a protein channel this is apart of ATP synthase enzyme. ATP synthase adds phosphate groups to ADP to make ATP.
  • In the electron transport chain electrons are removed from NADH and FADH2. Two NADH and one FADH2 molecules are used. Then hydrogen irons are transported through the electron transport chain.
  • Oxygen enters and gets electrons and hydrogen ions for water. Then water molecules are given off as waste molecules.
  • Electron Transport Chain
