- Prof the leader epic who can heal and make forcefields is the head of the group the reckoners. Tia, the mastermind, and David Charleston the point man have arrived at the city of Babylon restored, a sunken city which was once New York city. This eerie metropolis is run by the evil epic REGALIA who is the cause of the water floods. That is why the Reckoners, the epic slayers have arrived. To eliminate Regalia.
- As Prof, Tia and Davis dock to a safe house, they meet other reckoners who have tried to protect the city from other epic. Their names are Valerie, Val for short is the leader of this smaller reckoners establishment, and Mizzy, is the newer reckoner who is very inteligent and eager. As they meet together for the first time, they decide on a plan to take down regalia and her forces. Then, they head into the city.

- Now in the sunken city, the reckoners find the high epic regalia who has the ability to manipulate water to her own desire. Following her lead is another high epic obliteration who can become so hot he can melt projectiles and destroy the entire city of Houston in 1 meltdown. Obliteration has a plan to blow babylon to bits to and nothing will stop him. While all the reckoners intend to destroy Obliteration and Regalia, David has other plans on how to possibly save them from their death.

- Megan, Davids former Reckoner teammate turned out to be an epic named firefight working for the infamous Steelheart. Once David defeated Steelheart, Megan ran to Babylon restored to hide out and possibly seek help from Regalia. However, there was footage that Megan killed a reckoner and is now hated by everyone. Prof banned David from seeing Megan yet here he stands talking to her about her nightmare. Epic weaknesses.
- As David learns more and more about epics by talking to Firefight and Regalia, Prof and the rest of the reckoners have figured out a plan to save Babylon restored. After hearing information about Obliteration and his plan to destroy the city, Prof comes up with the idea to put a forcefield around obliteration when he explodes to contain all the heat and save everyone while the rest of the reckoners defeat Regalia.
- We'll do what we do David. There will be a reckoning. (326)
- AS OBLITERATION UNLEASHES HIMSELF, PROF CREATES A SHIELD TO CONTAIN ALL OF THE BUILT UP ENERGY. BOOM. David the reckoner eliminates Regalia after hearing what she has just started....
