- after don Pedro agrees to woo hero for Claudio, they meet at a party and a wedding date is set.
- Don Pedro hears about the wedding and plans to falsely accuse hero of having sex before marriage
- don Pedro, Claudio and Leanarto decide to trick Benedick into thinking Beatrice loves him. at the same time Hero and Margret trick Beatrice into thinking Benedick loves her.
- the watch has heard about don johns plan, and attempt to warn Leanarto but it is too late and the wedding was called off and resalted in Hero faking her death.
- a new wedding is arranged where claudio marrys a masked woman, who turns out to be Hero. at the wedding
