Great job, class! In what ways do you think families were affected during this time?
Worried about their futures
The Great Depression
Stressed about money
They probably weren't as close to each other
See, this is why I like sitting over here. They're always talking mess about us.
*looks down in embarrassment
Thanks for meeting with me.
Warren, I'd like for you to help Abiola and show her around school. Be there if he needs anything.
They think they're better than us...they think they're not black.
I didn't know you wanted me to stay after school for this *rolls eyes*
You know, they've been calling us the N-word right?
I'm NOT Black, I'm Nigerian.
Well, regardless, all of you need to learn how to get along. I won't have this disrespect in my classroom. You just met!
Pshhh.
That's ENOUGH!!
I just don't understand it. It's normal for students to not get along but in this case, they're all black. I assumed they would get along because of that.
Well I get it. Our school treats them as if they're the same when they don't see it that way.
WE'RE the problem? I always try to understand what students have in common. They should do the same.
