  • What did you learn in school today sarah
  • sure
  • Mom , it's a new chapter and i never heard of it. it's newton's law of motion
  • Can you teach me more about it
  • Imagine you're practicing for your 100 meters race on a track and somebody asks you to stop immediately within a second. Will you be able to stop or if someone asks you to turn towards the right ? will you be able to do immediately. The answer to both the question is no. You can stop but gradually you can turn but not sharply. And guess what it's the same story for every object
  • An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force
  • If the object is in motion it will stay in motion, But what can change this? yes unbalanced force . If it's on rest and an unbalanced force acts on it. It will move. And when it's on constant and when unbalanced force acts on it. It may accelerate or change direction. This is nothing but Newton's 1st Law Of Motion
  • The second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object
  • The force exerted by the object on the table was an action force and the force exerted by the table on the object is the reaction force.
  • Newton's 3rd Law Of Motion Every action has an equal and a opposite reaction
  • What happens when 2 objects interact each other ?what happen when you place an object on the table The object exerts the force on the table and the subject exerts the upward force on the object. The magnitude of two forces are same and the direction are opposite
  • Newton's 2nd Law Of Motion A force applied to an object at rest causes it to accelerate in the direction of the force.
  • Newton's 1st Law Of Motion An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force
  • Newton's 3rd Law Of Motion Every action has an equal and a opposite reaction
