  • Sounds good to me, thanks Bia.
  • Yeah, I totally missed it for some reason.
  • Amira, why were you absent yesterday? You missed the lesson in UCSP.
  • Oh come on, don't be sad. Why don't we just talk about it while we are heading to the cafeteria for breaktime?
  • It's quite interesting topic.
  • She's absolutely correct. If there is a social change, there will also be a cultural change, or a shift in culture.
  • So, what was the lesson in USCP yesterday all about?
  • It's all about the different aspects of society and the significant changes or transformations happening in our present way of living.
  • I know, right? Our teacher said that as changes in different aspects of society happen, we adapt to this and our lives are affected.
  • Many factors can influence social change. I just hope it doesn't make things worse for us.
  • Absolutely! Social change refers to differences or adjustments in social patterns that occur in our society. It might be due to shifts in politics, health, the economy, and weather patterns.
  • Why do you think so? Could you provide an example so that I fully get it?
  • Oh yeah, you're right. We follow a protocol against viruses.
  • Yeah, but I think because of the social change caused by the COVID virus, it worsens our lives and it also creates cultural changes.
  • Just like how we respectfully greet the elderly by Pagmamano, we can't do that anymore because of social distancing.
  • Yeah, right? Although social change can be beneficial, it can also be detrimental to our lives.I hope all of us can adapt to it.
  • However, looking on the positive side, societal change has helped us in various ways. Similarly to how technological advancement has made our work more accessible and convenient.
  • Right. Oh! The bell rang. We should hurry up and go back to our classroom.
  • You're welcome, Amira. I also want to thank you for sharing your knowledge about it. I enjoyed our talk.
  • Bia! Thank you for sharing what you learned in yesterday's lesson. I can cope and understand what today's lesson will be.
