  • Feudalism
  • I have a family of 6 and am starving, please help!
  • Queen Josie only lets peasants eat every other day.
  • Halt peaseant!
  • Communism
  • Everybody, Shut up!
  • Dictatorship
  • ...and that's the story of the Odyssey
  • The nobility had all the land from the Crown in exchange for military service, and vassals were tenants of the nobles, while the peasants were obliged to live on their lord's land and give him homage, labor, and a share of the produce, in exchange for military protection. The peasants had it the worst because they had to work very hard to stay alive another day. But the kings would take more taxes from everyone making him the richest. Example: Medieval Europe
  • Anarchy
  • A society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. In communism, everyone is equal, but that can be a bit destructive. If everyone is equal someone working harder might get mad at someone doing less work and getting paid the same. Example: China
  • Theocracy
  • A country governed by a single dictator. The dictator would make all the decisions based on what keeps him a dictator. A dictator is a ruler with total power over a country. A dictator can do anything he wishes but usually would do what the people want so they won't overthrow him (foreshadowing). Example: Ancient Rome
  • Oligarchy
  • Anarchy is the absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal. This can be seen as either really good or really bad. The good side is that you can do whatever you want and no one can stop you. But the bad side is that someone could try to take over someone's house and a fight will be probable. Example: ancient Greece and China
  • Not today.
  • I'm taking this land!
  • Theocracy is a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god. This can be beneficial to the people who believe in that religion but may be problematic. If The surrounding countries strongly believed in something different they might try to overtake your country. Example: Israel from the time of Moses until the election of King Saul.
  • ...and it was so, The third day.
  • Oligarchy is a form of power in which power rests with a small number of people. Mostly people of fame, wealth, education, or corporate, religious, political, or military control. Throughout history, oligarchies have often been tyrannical, relying on public obedience or oppression to exist. Example: Russia
