  • The patch is a patch that you wear on your skin on your upper arm, buttocks', lower abdomen, or your upper back.
  • You get three patches for each month. You change your patch once a week for 3 weeks and on 4th week you take off your last patch and have your menstrual cycle.
  • The patch releases the hormones' progestin and estrogen into your body to stop the ovaries from releasing eggs.
  • Pros of The Patch
  • If you forget to change your patch the day you typically do. You don't have to worry about it messing up your cycle or chances to prevent conception. This is because you still have a patch on from the previous week. You should change it as soon as possible if this does happen .
