- Since Marcus father broke his leg, Marcus visits him in Cambridge at the request of his mother. On the train journey, Marcus gets company by his girlfriend Ellie. However it is the day of death of the favorite Nirvana- singer Kurt Cobain- Ellie ´s favorite singer.
- An argument at the police station

- „What have you done Marcus?“ „I didn’t do anything. I only helped my friend. Dad…. You failed as a father!“
- They sat in silence for a cope of stops. Then Ellie decided that she didn’t want to visit Marcus father in Cambrige and they got off the train in Royston before the destination station.
- A worrying ride
- Kurt Cobain is dead?!?!
- They walked out of the station, up a side road and then they came to a record shop which has a big cardboard cut- out of Kurt Cobain in the window. When Ellie noticed them, she take off one of her boots and throw it at the glass as hard as she could, because she thinks that the store is already trying to make money of Kurt Cobain ´s death.
- A happy ending
- „I am a horrible mother“ „I didn’t take care of my family adequately.“ „Don’t worry meanwhile I have a lot of friends!“ „I´m so sorry that I have broken your glas. It was a misunderstanding. „It´s okay Ellie, i understand you.“

- Afterwards Ellie has broken the glasses, Marcus and Ellie were brought to the police station. The policewoman informed Marcus father Clive and his girlfriend Lindsay. At the police station is a dispute between Marcus and his father Clive.
- When Fiona came home from dinner with Will, they heard about Kurt Cobain’s death in the taxi. Both are worried about Marcus, who apparently liked the nirvana singer so much when they get a call from Royston. Than Fiona, Will and also Ellie’s mother drive to Royston.
- When they meet at the police station, everyone refelcts on their living conditions again and becomes aware of what they have achieved or where they have failed. Finally, everyone is happy. While Ellie makes up with the storekeeper, Will realizes that he becomes a part of the family.
- „ I think I become a real part of that turbulent family“
- „Marcus, what have you done?!“ „ I didnt´t do anything. I only helped my friend. Dad, you failed as a father!“
