- WHO IS IT?!
- Goodbye and goodnight.

- I don't know. Some MacArthur Foundation, probably a scam.
- A MCARTHUR?! Taylor that's an award. Haven't you heard of it? Not everything in life is about trickery. SOME people try helping others.
- Call them back RIGHT NOW!
- I have to fly to Chicago tomorrow for the ceremony.
- Was I right or was I right?
- Alright folks about an hour more until we arrive at the Windy City.
- What are you headed to Chicago for?
- An award. What about you? Visiting any family? Business trip?
- I'm heading over to receive a MacArthur award.
- That's the same award I'm getting!
- Well, that's ironic!
- What did you get recognized for?
- I wrote, directed, and acted in a play that looks at America to explore homophobia, racism and other forms that exclude certain Americans.
- Yeah, it's called "A 24-Decade History of Popular Music."
- That's really cool. What's the name of it?
- For an hour of the show the audience is on stage and each person is an inch away from another to represent the waves of immigrants from 1896 to 1906.
- How interesting. What was your inspiration?
- I try to really challenge the audience to reimagine their relationships to one another and demonstrate ways to show that the arts can be a way to inspire the world to change socially.
- Passengers please prepare for landing and welcome to Chicago.
- Why don't we catch a cab to the hotel together?
- Sure!
- I didn't get the chance to ask before but, what did you get a McArthur for?
- Well, you see I actually was born in Vietnam during the war.
- When I came to the United States I learned that the way others were taught about the war was very one sided.
- So, I decided to become a writer to educate those about the war.
