- Were taking heavy fire and loses!
- (This second episode will focus on Lydia Litvyak a Soviet fighter pilot whom died at Kursk) After the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-43) Soviet Fighter Pilot Lydia Litvyak for her actions was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union, downing many Nazi Aircraft during the fight . In this scene Lydia is receiving the Hero of the Soviet Union Award establishing that she is an important Ace.
- Collecting Kills
- After the Battle begun on July 5th 1943, the Soviets needed to weaken the Luftwaffe strength so actions on the ground could be less impeded. Therefore a night bombing raid was proposed, Lydia was one of the only experienced pilots the rest were new and they were about to face Veteran Nazi pilots. the raid was a daring one. This scene will show the briefing of the mission highlighting the extreme peril they will encounter.
- The End Of An Era
- In the early morning of July 6th 1943 hundreds of Yak-2 and Pe-2 bombers escorted by Lydia and other fighter pilots in LaGG-3 fighter aircraft headed to bomb the Nazi airbase. Thinking they had the element of surprise they were at ease. But the Germans had radar and they were discovered. a dogfight ensued and the Soviets lost. This scene with show a night air battle sequence, with the shot being from the ground looking upward.

- How terrible, such a loss.
- From the beginning of the battle till early August 1943, Lydia would go on to rack up four more kills. This added to her already impressive kill count of 8 kills already, that she had got during the battle of Stalingrad only six months earlier. After her service at Kursk Lydia would be heralded as one of the Soviet Union greatest air aces. This scene will be shot as a montage of Lydia scouring her final four kills at the battle of Kursk.
- On August 1, 1943 Lydia went up on her fourth sortie of the day, she was providing fighter escort to a detachment of II-2 bombers. During the flight she spotted two German bombers and went to attack, but failed to notice the BF-109's protecting them. Sadly she was shot down and perished. this scene will show Lydia going after the two bombers and she will disappear into a cloud and it will end.
- Lydia is honored with a plaque wall along with all the other Soviet pilots whom gave their lives at Kursk, it details her exploits during the battle and before while also offering words of respect for valiantly defending Russia in the second great war. The episode will end with a shot on her plaque and the it will begin to pan the rest as credits roll.
