Eustace Returns

The Great Sea Serpent

A Narrow Escape

The Lake Of Gold

In chapter six, Eustace finds himself completely lost in the valley away from the others. This island is called Dragon Isle.

Eustace puts on a bracelet of gold and slides it way up on his arm. Before he knew it, he was fast asleep with the bracelet on tight.

When Eustace wakes up, he feels very different. He feels stronger and bigger then before. Eventually, the others find him and Eustace returns.

After sailing away from Dragon Island, they spot an enormous and scary sea serpent. The serpent tries to crush their ship by wrapping its body around it. Eustace shows bravery and tries to slash the serpent with his sword.

After a difficult struggle where everyone tried pushing the snake off the ship, the stern of the ship breaks off. This allows the rest of the ship to escape the serpent and sail away.

They find a lake that turns everything into gold. At the bottom of this clear lake lay a golden statue of a man. They realize this is one of the lords. When Edmund dives into the lake, it turns his toes gold. When they look across the hillside, they see a lion as big as an elephant and realize its Aslan. They decide the island is cursed and leave.
