- Yesterday he showered with cold water that was 4 minutes and it turned off automatically. But then the next day was his very first day digging his first hole he was having a hard time. The ground was hard and he was quickly developing blisters. He was also told if he found anything interesting he has to tell the counselor because the warden likes to know interesting finds. One thing he was told to becarefull of is the dangers yellow spotted lizard. It has eleven yellow spots that are hard to see, black teeth and white tongue, it lives in holes to give them shade, and likes to eat sunflowers.
- The next day is his second day digging a hole. It was also very hard. But he did find something, it was a fish fossil, when campers find something interesting they can have a day off or not counting digging. So when the water truck came he showed Mr Pendanski the fossil but he said that the warden will not want this because he doesn't like fossils. So he had to continue digging. Later on x-ray was speaking to Stanley, he says that if Stanley found anything else he should give it to x-ray, because he had been in the camp for a year and Stanley only been in the camp for a few days. He couldn't find anything due to his poor eyesight so he thinks he deserves a free day off.
- When he was digging his hole he found a golden tube that has the letter KB with a heart engraved in it. He recently told x-ray that he would give him anything he found so he decided he could have a free day. So he gave him the tube but Stanley suggests he should give it to the warden the next day because the day was almost over. If the warden likes it when x-ray shows it to him he figured he could get a whole day instead of just an hour. X-ray thought that was a good idea!
