  • Physical wellness, as you may have read in our last magazine, is the proper care of our body to the things we eat, to how fit and healthy we are. A SMART goal is a goal that you want to achieve. It is not just a goal however, it is a goal that is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
  • How is SMART Goals Related to my Physical Wellness?
  • I will keep practicing until I improve my overall time by 1 second everyday until nationals.
  • Physical wellness isn't just about maintaining a healthy diet. You also have to exercise and do daily physical activities. These activities range from walking 30 minutes a day to doing intense physical workouts. Doing these workouts can help increase your bone strength, self confidence, and help reduce risk of a disease, depression, and stress. 
  • SMART goals are made so that person can strive and have higher motivation to achieve that goal. SMART is an acronym for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Specific, meaning if your goal is clear and understandable, measurable for having a numerical value to track or set your goal with, achievable, meaning is it realistic to achieve, relevant is how important that goal is for you, and time-bound, meaning when is your deadline for completing that goal.
  • SMART goals can help you set goals to improve our physical wellness. For example, a physical wellness goal can be, "I will jog for 30 minutes outside 4 times a week." Overall, setting a SMART goal can help you get motivated into achieving your goal.
