- EXPOSITIONThe Narrator swam endless laps across the river to try and get the atention of sheila mant. to win her atention would do endless laps between my house and the vermont shore,

- RISING ACTIONthe narrator polished the canoe for a whole day before he used it for his get together with Shelia Mant. I spent the fallowing day polishing it.
- this canoe will be looking like a rolls royce by the time that i am done cleaning it.
- This fish is huge
- CLIMAXThe narrator relizes that he has hooked a lirge fish when he is with sheila mant who thinks fishing is dumb Four things occurred to me at once. One, that it was a bass. Two, that it was a big bass. Three, that it was the biggest bass I had ever hooked. Four, that Sheila Mant must not know.
- FALLING ACTIONthe narrator cut his fishing line to not make shelia mad. I pulled a penknife from my pocket and cut the line in half.
