- Lucentio arrives to university ready to study but then he sees bianca and falls in love instantly. there are 2 problems though 1) she already has two suitors Gremioand Hortensio and 2) bianca is not allowed to get married until her older sister katherine whos vicious and ill-tempered does.

- Lucentio decides to overcome this problem and disguses himself as Bianca’s tutor as an excuse to be around her. Hortensio does the same thing but as her music teacher .
- Hortensio’s friend Petruchio says he will marry katherine only because he wants to marry a rich lady. he goes to baptistas house to met her and there is a sword duel , katherine insults him many times but petruchio said he will still marry her because of the money that she has. after the duel the wedding is set.
- Petruchio comes late to his own wedding in ridiculous out fit and with a broken down horse
- at hortensios wedding with the widow, katherine tells the people she has been tamed and reads a long speech. about wives being loyal to there husbands.
- petruchio and katherine are finally happy together and go hope to bed.
