- In the book, the men have a disease from the Spackle where they think out loud. Todd ran away and the whole town was chasing after him and the girl that he found named Voila. Todd also has a dog named Manchee who has been with him for a long time.

- Something similar in my story is that a lot of things are banned, kinda like in North Korea. They can't read certain books and do certain things.
- Some rules in the town are they can't read books, can't leave town, and can't keep secrets. When boys turn 13 they become a man, and when they are men, they must work, attend meetings, and they will finally learn the secret.
- Todd is the hero because he saved Viola and he was trying to escape the government. I think that Ben is the Mentor and the Father-figure because he always helped Todd out. Aaron is the villain because he wants to kill Viola and Todd. He also killed Manchee.
- Todd is the protagonist. He was about to turn 13 and become a man, but Ben and Cillian told him to run away before it's too late. Both of his parents are dead, so Ben and Cillian were his parents. He has a dog named Manchee who can talk, and they are best friends.
- This book is Bureaucratic control because Mayor Prentiss is trying to control everyone and make a lot of rules.
