- A family in Cebu City has been in a tight situation since a problem came upon their family the year prior. Maria, a mother of a 16-year-old daughter, keeps thinking of how can they support Jonna in any way possible for her to attend college.
- I hope that we can get along with the family here and send good money to my family.
- Maria tries to tackle the problem with her husband, Jonas. The only thing she could suggest is for her to work overseas because it will help their family a lot, not just for Jonna's studies. Jonas is against about the idea but later on convinced because of his daughter.

- Oh, hello Maria! We're happy and relieved that you arrived safe in Dubai.
- The reason why did Maria worked instead of Jonas was because of his medical condition that excludes him from working. Maria, on the other hand, is the breadwinner of the family and an administrative clerk. While waiting for their departure, Maria can't stop thinking of her family and considers looking on the positive side.
- Why do you keep pointing out all the problems to me?! You should be the one to take responsibility of what we're going though right now.

- Maria arrived safe and well in Dubai. She was dazed after knowing how things worked in Dubai. The technological advancement and wealthy environment tells how educated and determined the people were. She was assigned by her employment administration in a household near the city.

- Maria and De Loire Family met at once. They were happy of her presence and introduced her to the people in the house. She was not the only employee in their family, but, she was assigned with the management of the household.
- Several days passed, Mr. and Mrs. De Loire have not been in good terms. Maria witnessed their fights and felt unwell. She was also concerned of the kid and found it in unseemly.
