- The one hundred years war, was a war between the English and French that is considered the end of the Middle Ages. This war ended land disputes and ended with the ultimate French victory. Here is how the events played out.
- The one Hundred years war
- The most important event in the war, the start, the spark that started it all. This event was started with the death of the French king in 1337.The reason this was so significant was because he had no living family besides his nephew, Edward the third, the king of England. He battled for the French Throne in order to obtain land for the English, French nobles declined, tensions rose and a war started.
- This image depicts one of the battles in the early war. The battle of Angicourt, this battle was ultimately won but the British in devastating fashion due to the advancement of their weapons compared to the French. These special weapons that devasted the French forces were the Longbow which fire much faster than a regular bow dealing more damage. This battle was a turning point in the war also being the last British won battle.
- The siege of Orleans, the last loyal French city. If Orleans is lost there is no telling what the British will do officially gaining control of all of France, but the French hold off. The French forces lead by Joan of Arc a women supposedly sent by god to defeat the British and succeeded French pushed them out saving the city and turning g the war in their fav or getting the British king out of the kingdom.
- The battle of Castillion was the final b battle in the one hundred years war. This battle was finalized by a hard fought French victory with their advancements in military technology with cannons over the British bows and swords.
- After a long hard fought war, the French finally came out victorious over the British forces obtaining their throne and land back for good. This was was long and had up's and downs but their advancement in military technology had a lasting affect on history
