Erikson's second stage of psychological development describes a period of time where the child starts to develop a want for more personal control and independence. In this example, the toddler wishes to feed himself instead of having his father feed him.
Erikson's fifth stage of psychological development describes a period in life where adolescents develop their sense of worth in society and find a sense of continuity within themself. In this example, the student (right) is figuring out which occupation she might want to transition into.
Erikson's eighth and final stage of psychological development describes a period of time where the elderly contemplate their accomplishments and reflect on their life and where they are now. In this example, the pair are reflecting on a happy memory of theirs.
