A Not So Happy Arrival
Storyboard Tekst
- Scene 1: New resident (Anne) has arrived and entering the nursing home with her son, feeling excited and optimistic about the new facility.
- Scene 2: The receptionist notices that Anne and her son are approaching and welcomes them. She then phones to notify the nurse of their arrival. The nurse tells her to tell them that she will be with them in about 5 minutes.
- Scene 3: Anne's son has left to get some water and snacks. The nurse scheduled to lead the move-in (admission) process quickly arrives in less than 5 minutes and welcomes Anne. The nurse confirms if Anne is who she has been waiting for, and leads her to her suite for further review of documents and a physical assessment.
- Scene 4: Anne is excited that she is getting the attention and care that she expects to receive. She follows the nurse to her suite for a review of some documents in her chart and for a physical assessment. She tells her that the other staff on duty will make time to visit Anne later. [Anne's son will join them later in the suite].
- Scene 5: Anne complains to her son about the long waiting time and lack of attention from the staff in the facility. They are contemplating on whether they have made the right decision by choosing this facility.
- Scene 6: Anne is still upset and waiting for the nurse. The nurse enters and apologizes. She proceeds to review some documents with Anne and her son; and performs some physical assessments. Anne seemed to have had a bad experience due to the lack of attention as a result of the extremely busy staff.
