- An occurrence at owl creek Bridge
- Peyton Farguhar was sentenced to death by hanging for attempting to destroy the bridge at owl creek Bridge to prevent the federal army advancing.
- Peyton was hanging at the bridge. Farquhar loses consciousness as he plummets down the side of the bridge. When he closes his eyes and sees his wife and children.
- A soldier appears and Farquhar asked what was happening in the front. The soldier, a Northern disguise replies that the north is preparing for attack.
- Farquhar is dangling losing his consciousness and falls down the water stream. He is awoken from pain and realize that the rope broke. He tries to escape and swim to his safety. They start to attack him with guns.
- He escapes and sees himself standing in front of his house as his wife is standing crying. He runs towards her but feels a sharp pain in the back of his neck.
