- Lets go to Paris!
- Coates wife went to take a trip to paris one time, once she came back she wanted Coates to go with her for the next trip.
- He eventually got to Paris with his wife and one of his friendsCoates and his friend went to dinner togehter and his friend wanted to show him a abandoned home

- One they got there, the friend showed him the abandoned house and said goodbye to him and he began to walk away, Coates then reaizled how much he was "blinded" by fear.

- Once Coates came back from the states he learned that one of his classmates was shot and unfortunelty died. He talks with his sister as she recalls the painful memories that she experineced at that moment
- Coates eventually began to write his son a note, a letter about his experinces as a black man and as a father. He wrote this note to give to his son once he was ready and old enough to know the truth of the world.
- The letter Samori was given would mean alot to his father, because it would be his most important lessons that Coates could teach to his son. To awlays dream for a better life but to never let that dream take over what you are.
