- Barnardo, Marcellus, and Horatio are outside guarding Denmark and doing their watch when they see a man in armor dressed like the dead King Hamlet above them on the bridge. They are skeptical about who the person is and decide that he is a ghost but don't know if he is a good or bad ghost.

- Gertrude is trying to tell Hamlet that his father has passed away and now has to accept that Claudius the king forcing Hamlet to forget about his father

- You must be ready for revenge
- Laertes warns Ophelia about Hamlet because he is a servant to his country and eventually will end up with someone who best fits him, he tells Ophelia this because he sees how in love she is and doesn't want to see his sister hurt
- Act 1 Scene VI
- Okay Father I will
- The ghost king appears. He asks Hamlet to talk in private, but Hamlet is in disbelief that he is real. Hamlet is intrigued he agrees to talk in private Horatio and Marcellus think it's a bad idea.
- it's just after twelve
- Look sir
- The ghost king asks Hamlet to speack privatly to tell him what cladius did to him. How he murdered his father
- What?
- The ghost tells Hamlet not to blame his mother for anything happening involving his death and just to get revenge.
- Be nice to your mother do not involve her.
