- The Cherokee were allies of the Britishduring the French Indian War.

- When the Cherokee settlements were attacked by the French, the SC colonists did not help.

- The fighting broke out and alot of people died
- This is miserable. We have lost many of our people, and most of our hunting land!
- I know. All we can do is stay strong.

- The Royal governor of SC ended all trade with the Cherokee and took some as hostages.
- The Cherokee War lasted two years with both sides suffering major losses and ended in 1763.
- Cherokee were forced to give up most of their land and live in Cherokee Territory west of the SC Colony.
